Overview
|
The Project Manager plays a key role on the Solutions Inc. delivery team. This position will be primarily responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously beginning with definition of an IT Strategy/IT Roadmap to address a client's situation. The Project Manager will be accountable for all aspects of planning and managing projects from inception through specification, development, testing, deployment, post-production maintenance, and subsequent enhancement phases. This includes planning, scheduling, budgeting, tracking and documenting all aspects of a project, as well as managing / mentoring project team members.

Responsibilities
|
- Develop project plans, schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
- Design and implement key performance metrics to monitor ongoing development.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting clients needs, business objectives and design guidelines.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively.
- Provide leadership to the functional and technical teams assigned to the project.
- Manage client expectations appropriately to guarantee the stability of the project scope throughout the development process.
- Work closely with the client to clarify specific needs and requirements and, as primary client contact, keep project stakeholders informed of project development and provide them with status reports.
- Coordinate project tasks with other individuals/groups to meet established deadlines.
- Ensure that all changes, decisions and problems are documented and reported during all phases of the project (i.e. tracking bug discovery and resolution, tracking improvements and additions to the software for each new version).

Experience/Skills
|
- 5+ years of total experience of which at least 2+ years in project/program management.
- Consulting experience in an IT Strategy /Business Consulting role.
- Experience with technical concepts, planning and tracking, managing project inter-dependencies, and managing resources.
- Experience with issue resolution.
- Demonstrated skill in client relationship management and ability to manage, direct and command respect from technical and delivery team members.
- Must be able to engage with the client in broader discussions of the business situation and IT strategy as well as in technology discussions with the client, project managers and the technical/delivery members of the program/project teams.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, including strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
|
- BS/MS (CS or equivalent); PMI certification preferred.
